ORDINANCE NO.  82

 

 

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF CHOUDRANT, LOUISIANA.  THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY, TO WIT:

 

Sec. 24-18-2:  A tr. of land contg. 35.15 acres m/l and being sit. in the NW of Sec. 24 desc. as:  Beg. at a steel "T" post set at a crosstie monumenting the SEC of the SW of NW of said Sec. 24, and from said pt. run N. 00 deg. 22' 26" E. 94.31' and to a cotton picker spindle set in the c/l of Hwy. 80, for the pob.  From said pob. run N. 82 deg. 29' 44" W. along the c/l of said hwy. 971.13' and to a PK nail; th. leaving the c/l of said hwy. run N. 00 deg. 06' 14" E. 1017.13' and to a 5/8" rebar; S. 89 deg. 22' 09" E. 344.49' and to a 5/8" rebar; N. 02 deg. 00' 22" W. 23.85' and to a 5/8" rebar set at an Oak Tree fence corner; th.             WHEREAS, a petition was received by the Mayor and Board requesting the annexation into the corporate limits of the Village of Choudrant, Louisiana, of the hereinafter described property;

 

            WHEREAS, the Lincoln Parish Assessor and the Lincoln Parish Voters certified that said petition was signed by the requisite number of property owners; and

 

            WHEREAS, there was no opposition to the annexation request at public hearing,;

 

            BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF CHOUDRANT, LOUISIANA, IN REGULAR SESSION CONVENED:

 

            Section 1.  The following described property is hereby annexed into the corporate limits of the Village of Choudrant, Louisiana, to-wit:

            Section 2.  The property hereby annexed shall be zoned R2, Medium Density residential, and be subject to the Village of Choudrant Zoning Regulation Ordinances accordingly.

 

            Section 3. Said ordinance having been introduced on , 2005 by Alderman Eddie Ford Public Hearing having been held, the title having been read, the Ordinance was introduced on motion by Alderman Eddie Ford,  seconded by  Alderman Jimmy McGrew to adopt the ordinance, a roll call vote was taken and the following result was had:

 

            YEAS: Ford, McGrew

 

            NAYS: None

 

            ABSENT: None

 

Alderman Ragan Aswell abstained from voting while serving as Mayor Pro-Tem.

 

            Whereupon, the presiding officer declared the above Ordinance duly adopted on October 3, 2005.
