VILLAGE OF CHOUDRANT
ORDINANCE NO. 62 MOTION BY: -S- REAGAN ASWELL
SECOND BY: -S- WAYNE BROOKS
AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE ADOPTION OF AN OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN ACCORDING TO LOUISIANA REVISED STATUTES 33:106, AND OTHERWISE PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.
WHEREAS the Village of Choudrant has determined that planning for the village’s future development is in the best interest of its residents and citizens; and
WHEREAS the Village of Choudrant’s Planning Commission has considered the issues and compiled such a plan, deemed the Choudrant Comprehensive Plan : 2020 Vision, with due consideration for the needs and desires of the village’s citizenry and the requirements of Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:106, 107, and 110; and
WHEREAS the Village of Choudrant’s Planning Commission has, according to Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:107, conducted a duly advertised public hearing concerning the adoption of said Choudrant Comprehensive Plan and subsequently endorsed its provisions in their entirety; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen and Mayor of the Village of Choudrant provided for a public hearing with respect to the Choudrant Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, said hearing was thereafter duly and regularly held as advertised, and all objections, recommendations and comments received at said hearing have been fully and carefully considered by the Board, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen and Mayor have determined that the Choudrant Comprehensive Plan represents the best judgment and opinion of this governmental body and will promote the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of the people of the Village of Choudrant,
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Aldermen and Mayor of Choudrant, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the Choudrant Comprehensive Plan be and is hereby adopted as the official comprehensive planning document for the village as allowed by LRS 33:101 through 33:120.
