ORDINANCE NO. 16

 

An ordinance levying an annual license tax on all persons, associations of persons, firms

and corporations pursuing any trade, profession, vocation, calling or business in the

Village of Choudrant, Lincoln Parish, Louisiana and repealing all ordinances or parts of

ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Village of

Choudrant, Louisiana in regular session convened that there be and is hereby levied an annual license tax

for the year 1950, and for each subsequent year, on all persons, associations of persons, firms and

corporations pursuing any trade, profession, vocation, calling or business in the Village of Choudrant,

Lincoln Parish, Louisiana except those expressly exempted by the Constitution of the State of Louisiana.

SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, etc. that said license tax shall be

graduated and shall conform with the license tax law of the State of Louisiana, by Act No. 15 of the Third

Extraordinary Session of the Legislature of the State of Louisiana for the year 1934 and said Act No. 15 of

the Third Extraordinary Session of 1934, and amendments thereto, is hereby adopted as the license law of

the Village of Choudrant and the license shall in every instance be 100% of the amount provided in said

Act No. 15 of the Third Extraordinary Session of 1934 and amendments thereto.

SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, etc. that all ordinances or parts of

ordinances in conflict herewith be hereby repealed.

 

READ AND CONSIDERED by Sections and adopted by the following Yea and Nay

vote on this 3 rd day of October, 1949.
