Jimmy Mcgrew

Jimmy has served Choudrant as Alderman for 3 years after serving as Chief of Police for 12 years. He is a Certified Welder and the owner of JM Contractor of La., LLC and JM Truck Accessories. Jimmy’s list of certifications is extensive - Certified ComTrain Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue, Certified CommScope, OSHA Certified, Certified Anritsu, Certified Megger, Licensed GC Contractor in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Jimmy attended Choudrant High School, and later married Bonnie. Together they have raise six daughters and now have seven grandchildren. Jimmy is a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Monroe, Louisiana.

Jimmy’s vision for Choudrant is “For the citizens of Choudrant to keep their hometown privileges that others lose in a larger town. To provide services that are available to all the citizens in our town. To make Choudrant the place where families will want to remain”.
