Building Permit Procedure                                                  

Residential permit

- Obtain 911 address

- Fill out building permit application

    Supply set of plans

    Provide list of contractors

- International 2000 Building, NEC Electrical, Louisiana State Plumbing, And International 2000 Mechanical Codes are  to be followed.

- Application will be reviewed by inspection and building permit will be issued. Do not begin construction until notified by building inspection department.

Notify the village at the following stages of  construction:
Immediately prior to concrete pour
At completion of electrical and plumbing rough-in, prior to interior seal out                 (drywall, paneling etc. Installation)
At substantial completion of construction.  Allow sufficient time for corrections         prior to occupancy.

- Certificate of occupancy will be issued after final successful inspection. 

 Commercial permits

- Obtain 911 address

- Obtain Fire Marshall’s approval of plan design and provide letter of approval or stamped plans.

- Fill out building permit application
Supply set of plans

For new construction, provide site plan to include parking lot construction,                 landscaping and signage.
